2. Heavy Foods & Junks
During exams, we want to save as much time as possible on other things so that we can have enough time to study and revise. In order to accomplish this, many people would ditch cooking and snack on whatever they come across, especially junk foods.
Students that eat junk food for breakfast during the semester would more likely do so during exam time when they are stressed or tired. These food are usually low in amino acids and important nutrients and concentrating on them during exams will result in low levels of serotonin, dopamine and epinephrine. This leaves students with lowered mood, concentration levels and a reduced ability to transfer learning to long-term memory.
You may want to avoid the big/heavy meals because they keep on turning in your stomach. You might find that eating the standard three-big-meals-a-day thing slows you down both mentally mentally and physically.
If you need to walk from your hostel to library to revise, you may find out that you are too heavy to walk and decide to lie down for some minute to rest. If you are lucky, you waste thirty minutes or more resting but if you fall short of luck, you sleep off in the process and wake up on the exam morning.
