4. Popcorn is another good food
Popcorn is a very great example because it not only contain fiber to help your constipation, just like the berries, it is a great low-calorie option to add more fiber in your diet. We have talked about the importance of eating whole grains in the past and here they show their importance once again. Popcorn is a whole grain, and increasing the whole grains in your diet is an effective remedy for constipation.
When you are going for popcorn, take those with less sugar, salt and butter (or margarine in them). This could be counterproductive when you eat more fat during that period of constipation.
5. Sweet Potatoes
Apart from the likes of raspberry and blackberry, I have chosen and listed foods that are relatively common every where I have been too. They are the very cheap options too. One medium-sized sweet potato contains approximately 4.8 g of fiber. Eat three of these with a vegetable soup and complete it with a fruit like pear or apple afterwards, and you would conveniently get your recommended daily intake.
