2. Berries can help you through constipation
Adding berry fruits such as raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries to your diet will increase your fiber intake and the fact they are sweet and low in calories, we can eat much of them. This will gradually and significantly help us to increase the fiber intake. All these fruits mentioned have a good amount of fiber — for example, a half-cup of fresh strawberries provides 2 grams of fiber while the same size serving of blackberries will provide 3.8 grams and raspberries 4 grams. This will easily help you to be able to measure your daily intake.
3. Pear contains good level of fibre
The American Dietetic Association recommends the daily intake of up to 25 grams of fibre for women, up to 38 grams for men and after age 50, we need to consume less fiber because we actually need less. Fruits like pear have good amount of fibre that we can benefit from when constipation come calling.
Ordinarily, if we eat some of these fruits and vegetables as part of our diet, we would notice that we would consume far more than the recommended daily intake. A small pear for example contains about 4.4 g of fiber.
